Why We Don't Own a Bat

I told Leyre the following story the other day:

I rolled over this morning and he was laying on Pete's side. I closed my eyes and felt him standing between us, then I opened my eyes and watched him climb slowly back up onto Pete's side, and then sit there for a minute staring at Pete's face, and then V-E-R-Y slowly, he stuck his little paw out and batted Pete in the cheek to be like "DUDE! I'M AWAKE! PLAY WITH ME!". So I picked him up and put him down on the floor, and then stuck my foot out of the covers to play with him and distract him because THAT is exactly the kind of awesome girlfriend I am.

It's all true (especially the awesome girlfriend part, if I may say so myself!) - Barley loves to paw people in the cheek/nose when he wants them to wake up and play. Sometimes, if you don't respond to the first two pokes, the third poke comes with claws. Fun times! Anyway, Leyre sent Pete and I this video last night, and I had to share because I'm pretty sure this is what Barley would do to Pete if we had any sports equipment in the house.

Hugs

When he wants to play with Pete, sometimes he'll walk up and "hug" Pete's feet. Then chomp on his toes.
