Assume the Position

Mike and Leyre stopped by. Barley ran upstairs as soon as he heard the door buzzer, and then he assumed his watching position for the duration of their visit.

This Bag Is Not A Toy

We keep telling Barley that bags aren't toys, but he won't listen. Don't think that he "accidentally" ended up sticking his head through the handle - that's his preferred approach. He walks up to the bag, sticks his head through the handle, and then proceeds to chew on the top edge of the bag. When he's done, he ducks his head back out of the handle and moves on.

Bonus Picture Sunday

In an effort to (finally) finish unpacking, I unwrapped a lot of framed photos to start working out where to hang them. Barley spent hours entertaining himself with the discarded wrapping paper.

Cause Determined of Internet Shutdown

Dorchester - Around 1:30 PM a mysterious event occurred at the Chocolate Factory - sudden loss of internet. There was recycling of modems and routers, restarting of desktops and laptops, and leaching off the neighbor's unprotected wi-fi to live chat with tech support. Comcast pinged the modem and determined that it was fine, and the problem was the third party router- which they can't troubleshoot.

Pete took matters into his own hands. One more recycle on the router, and still nothing was working. Pete plugged directly into the modem to find that no - there was nothing coming from the modem. The only light on was the "standby" light. After closer investigation, Pete found a button on top of the modem labeled "standby" and decided to see what would happen if he pressed it. Lo and behold - the internet was back in action.

The cause? None other than our beloved Barley, who had been spotted near the scene of the crime just prior to time of the lost connection.
